These handcrafted lacquered hinged boxes are produced using centuries old tradition of hand pouring several layers of lacquer on a wood base.  Each layer is hand polished, taking several days to create the unique, deep, rich finish which is impervious to heat & alcohol.  Each item requires 14 days to complete. The fine patina will give you many years of enjoyment.   Box interiors are finished with a micro velvet.
