Arudeko

At the very heart of Arudeko is a love for Mexican design and the artisans they work with, the preservation of traditions, community support and environmental responsibility. Sisters Nailea and Denisse work in close collaboration with artisans in Oaxaca to produce pedal loomed pillows and rugs. They use environmentally sustainable local wool, that supports the local community and their economy, and all natural seasonal dyes that are non-toxic and do not pollute the eco-system. From collecting and preparing the natural dyes and wool, to dancing on the loom, each piece is made by hand and preserves the traditions and knowledge of Oaxacan textile craft that have been passed down from generation to generation.

As'Art Paris supports crafts from developing countries in accordance with the three principles of sustainable development: environmental protection, social equity and sustainable management. Discovering new, sustainable materials and beautiful ways to use them. They are humbled to enjoy partnerships with family-run businesses, cooperatives, and artisans in Vietnam, Thailand, India, Bolivia, Indonesia, and Tunisia. They take pride in building the lives and livelihoods of crafters and makers around the world, and most of all, care deeply about how each piece is made, using sustainable materials whenever possible.

Chris Chun

Chris Chun is an Australian Chinese artist and textile designer known for his work in contemporary chinoiserie, a distinctly modern twist on traditional Chinese art that combines vibrant colour and pattern with his love of nature and the environment. His art also incorporates elements of fengshui to create harmony, joy and positive energy for their owners.
