These unusual wavy baskets are handmade in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana well known for its colourful and patterned baskets.  The elephant grass (or beta vera) is tinted before being woven by craftsmen.   Beautiful as a decor piece or depending on the size wonderful for potted plants or for storage.
